Friends Circle Terms

Friends Circle is operated by Make A Circle as a nationwide small-group friendship service for Korean and international residents anywhere in Korea, with nearby matching prioritized.

Open community circles and their small meetups are separate from operator-matched circles. Adults 18 or older can create and join open communities for free. Joining a circle does not automatically reserve a place at a meetup. Food, drinks and other personal expenses are separate and should be explained before joining a plan.

Members choose the circles and meetups they join. Member-led plans do not promise attendance, a venue reservation, identity verification or a friendship outcome. Conversations and shared introductions are visible only within the relevant membership. You may leave a circle, remove your own circle posts, or report a concern; previously posted material is not automatically erased by leaving.

Submitting an application does not guarantee placement in a circle. Matching depends on fit, timing, availability, and operational judgment.

Participants are expected to act respectfully, honestly, and in ways that support a safe small-group environment.

Participants agree to the Friends Circle safety guide. Harassment, discrimination, threats, scams, sexual pressure, unwanted recording, and sharing another member’s private information may lead to removal.

Family Circles are parent-to-parent community meetups, not childcare. A guardian must remain present and responsible for their own child, and child photos or personal details may not be shared without clear guardian consent.

Applications for operator-matched circles are free. The nationwide launch benefit provides one free first matched circle per person for eligible applications submitted by December 31, 2026.

For operator-matched circles, an optional 25,000 KRW pass provides two new circle starts after the first circle. This is separate from free open community circles and is not a recurring subscription. Naver Smart Store payments and bank transfers may require verification before credits appear in the dashboard.
